Inland Northwest Oncology Nursing Society Idaho / Washington Chapter In starting our news letter I thought I would review the ONS mission, vision, and value statement. These brief words are often inspiring to me. Our mission is to promote excellence in oncology nursing and quality cancer care. Our vision is to lead the transformation of cancer care. Our core values are Integrity, Innovation, Stewardship, Advocacy, Excellence, and Inclusiveness.

We have 75 members in our chapter and each of us brings something special to the mission of the places we work. Our members represent about 15 different cancer care providers in the region. In an effort to get to know each other each month I would like to review the mission statement of 2 of our places of work. The list will start with who is listed first on membership directory. It is interesting to see we are linked in our missions. Providence Regional Cancer Center / Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center As People of Providence, we reveal God’s love for all, especially the poor and vulnerable, through our compassionate service. As part of Providence Health & Services, we identify our work as a ministry, embracing our responsibility to provide for the needs of communities across Washington. We take pride in advancing our Mission and demonstrating our Core Values of respect, compassion, justice, excellence and stewardship in our interactions with each other and those we serve. Deaconess Hospital Rockwood Health System To provide exceptional patient care with a focus on quality, compassion and community health. Stay tuned for next month Kootenai Health and Cancer Care Northwest. Feel free to send me anything of interest that we could put in our news letter. Anyone who has written something of interest that they would like to share, send it along to me. Regional activities could be reviewed her in addition to posting them on the calendar. We have plans to meet monthly on the 3rd Thursday of September, October, November, January, February, March, April, and May watch for information at our INONS Virtual Community Calendar. Have a great day. Nancy Clough RN, BSN, INONS President
